MISUNDERSTOOD TAKAFUL AGENT

Undaunted by this fate, Mr. Amar now takes his takaful agent duties very seriously. Every opportunity becomes a chance to preach about insurance and financial planning. By now, he is an object of suspicion for just about everyone. People often mistake his enthusiasm for being pushy or annoying, while others draw laughter when they describe him as ‘that salesman from a comedy sketch’! His signature catchphrase is "Insure now or regret later!" Mr. Amar is in the business of selling peace of mind. Yet, despite his best efforts, few can tell that he means well. His misguided enthusiasm is mistaken for pushiness (he really needs to lay off the sugar levels), and he too is misunderstood. So, next time you see one of these ‘takaful agents’, the men hanging around your neighbourhood, give them a friendly wave and a joke. And maybe even crack a joke about finally succumbing to their irresistible sales pitches!
