ECOWARRIOR 

Our very own eco-warrior, Laila, is usually in the vanguard of the green movement. She is always organising community litter picks, promoting recycling initiatives, arranging clothes swaps, and so forth. It has also become her ‘thing’ to wear socks that you might otherwise overlook and to sometimes sport a hat that is inevitably made of (recycled) garbage—and often made by Laila. At one point, she staged a ‘Trash Fashion Show’, requiring entrants to make clothing entirely out of trash—needless to say, the results were some of the most ludicrous outfits I have ever seen and some of the funniest.

It is always her who's out there, zipping around town on her green bicycle with eco-friendly bags for every shopping need, keeping a small herb garden on her balcony, and organising recycling drives for the neighbourhood. Ok, so she once went to a protest dressed up like a walking tree—and did the whole town look surprised as they took a second glance? Of course they did! What the hell was that thing striding by them?
