GREEN THUMB

Everyone knows Jamilia as the garden guru who can turn any yard, pot, window box, or tree into a blooming paradise. Her lovely garden, which she spends hours in, is brimming with colourful flowers, dangling plants, and hanging pots, all vividly green. Her garden was made for fairies, as any time we pass by her house, we feel like we are walking through a forest of blooming flowers. So, the fact that she talks to her plants is not surprising, but that she talks to every plant she owns is what mystifies most of us. The latest episode comes from a neighbour who claimed that Jamilia had a conversation with a banana tree. It seems she found some pests or insects on the plant, so she engaged it in a boisterous conversation. To be honest, I’m not sure if I want to know what plants say during these chats. But if talking to the ladies of the banana suite keeps the plants looking so beautiful and adds colour to our gloomy neighbourhood, I say she can have all the botanical meetings she wants!
