Chapter 4 : Again. To Write or Not to Write?

The next day, Zara held a meeting. The meeting was to discuss what had happened to Norah and the publicity that La Nona had planned.

"Who do you think sent the pictures to Norah?" I asked Shazlin.

"I do not know Marina. It's hard to tell."

"It's strange that the sender purposely sent the pictures when Norah was being interviewed."

"Maybe an enemy..."

"Whose enemy?" My question was unanswered. We stopped our conversation when Zara entered the meeting room. So did others. Everyone in the room turned silent upon her arrival. All eyes were on her.

"I can't believe what had happened," Zara began. "That was the worst thing ever happened to La Nona due to lack of preparation, support and strategy."

'Lack of support and strategy'? Does she really mean what she has just said? Or maybe she thought that the meeting was more like a press conference. It would not had happened, if she had not replaced Shazlin with Norah at the last minute,' I mumbled in my head.

Everyone who attended the meeting listened to Zara's words attentively. After speaking for a few minutes, Zara turned his attention to Shazlin.

"To all those present, I would like you to know that she was the mastermind who spoiled everything that we planned. Isn't it true Shazlin?" asked Zara. At the time, she was really asking a question. A question, not an instruction.

"Zara, what are you talking about?"

"You had planned on all this! You sent the pictures to Norah during the show. You did intend to destroy me and La Nona!"

"Zara, how could you accuse Shazlin? It's impossible for her to do it. It's impossible!" I tried to defend Shazlin.

"She is capable of doing anything! Look here everyone!" Zara directed our attention to the screen and showed one by one pictures of Shazlin having lunch with Azli and Diya. Everyone in the room knew about their rivalries. Zara hated them so much.

"I wonder what were you talking about? What did you discuss with them one day before the show, Shazlin?"

"I have nothing to do with this! The pictures were taken during Mr. Haris' birthday celebration which happened one day before the interview. You were the one who asked me to go there. They came to me and wanted to sit with me. What do you want me to do? Chase them away?"

"What makes you think that I would believe that?" asked Zara.

"You seriously think that I was behind this?" asked Shazlin in disbelief.

"You know the answer yourself, don't you?"

"Sorry, I don't get paid high enough to guess the answer to such questions!" said Shazlin firmly. Zara stared hard at Shazlin. She took a glass of water that was placed before her and sipped it slowly. At that point, I thought she was looking for ideas to reply back to Shazlin. However, she did something I did not expect. She came near Shazlin and splashed the water in the glass she had held on Shazlin's face. Everyone in the meeting room was surprised by what Zara did.

"Zara, have you lost your mind?!" said Shazlin.

Zara and Shazlin began to fight. They accused each other of many things.

"Shazlin..." I tried to calm Shazlin down but I failed. She looked as if she had been possessed. The way she stared at Zara looked as if she had wanted to swallow her.

"Aaaaaaaah!" Zara screamed as Shazlin pulled her hair. Then, Shazlin slapped her face and pinched her cheeks.

"Shazlin! Zara! Stop!" I almost screamed. Zara took her chance and punched Shazlin on the face. Yes, I repeat it again. Punched Shazlin on the face! Realizing that the situation could get worse if I let them both fight there, I immediately called the security guards to disperse the quarrel.

"Hi Marina! Long time no see. Didn't come here for quite some times, huh?" Kevin, Ally's business partner brought me back to Dr. Love. After a short chat with Kevin, I once again looked at the screen and the keyboard. I repeated it over and over again. I could not believe what I had written. I did not expect that I had written what had happened in detailed. I questioned myself again, "should I make it a new post for my blog?"
