THE LAWYER
Mr. Rashid is a well-known lawyer, known for his eloquence, legal prowess, and rumpled Liberty-suit flair. In our neighbourhood, he struts around like a dashing lawyer. He has an incredible memory, but he can't seem to recall a single face.
One day, Mr. Rashid was wandering around the neighbourhood when he ran into Mrs. Jenkins, who had been living there for quite some time.
"Hello, Mr. Rashid. Nice to meet you," said Mrs. Jenkins.
Mr. Rashid grinned and extended his hand. "It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Jenkins," he replied.
Mrs. Jenkins wondered silently, "Perhaps he didn't recognise me from the community barbecue?" But she didn't let his memory lapse bother her and simply said, "Nice to meet you again!"
Word of Mr. Rashid's forgetfulness quickly spread throughout the community. Despite his forgetfulness, his first impressions were always positive. "Nice to meet you again!" became a running joke among the close-knit community members.
Mr. Rashid made it a habit to introduce himself to the neighbourhood postman every time, who would cheerfully greet him with, "Nice to meet you again, Mr. Rashid!"
Despite his shortcomings, Mr. Rashid handled it all with great humour. He never seemed to lose confidence in himself, thanks partly to his sense of humour. He embraced the role of the absent-minded attorney, which seemed to suit him well.
