NEW IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Marina's cell phone chimed, indicating an incoming call. Recognizing the distinct ringtone, he deduced that it was his housemate, Gina. Hastily, he rummaged through his bag to locate his phone and promptly answered the call.

"Hello," Marina greeted as soon as he picked up.

"Hello, Marina. Where are you right now?" Gina's delicate, high-pitched voice resonated through the phone.

"I just arrived. I'm in the parking lot. Why?" Marina inquired, curious about the urgency in Gina's tone.

"Oh, thank goodness... Why?" Marina pressed for an explanation.

"I need your help with a purchase. Please don't go too far. Head over to Doris Supermarket down the street."

"Alright. What would you like me to get?" Marina asked, ready to assist.

"Please grab two bottles of mineral water, three sandwiches, and some wholemeal bread. Thank you," Gina requested.

"No problem. I'll take care of it," Marina assured her.

"Okay, see you later," Gina concluded before ending the call.

Marina placed her cell phone back into her handbag and promptly made her way to Doris Supermarket. She gathered the items Gina had requested, ensuring to also pick up any other necessities she deemed necessary. After paying for everything, Marina found herself juggling multiple plastic bags as she headed towards the elevator. At that moment, two men stood nearby, one of whom caught Marina's eye. They exchanged friendly smiles, creating a brief connection. As soon as the elevator doors opened, the two men kindly gestured for Marina to enter first. Grateful, Marina stepped inside and pressed the button for the fifth floor, where she and Gina resided.

"Are you new here?" one of them asked Marina. The man looked incredibly handsome in his blue denim jacket.

"Yes, I just moved," Marina answered simply, her gaze fixed on the man's face.

"Oh, you should have seen it," the man said, flashing a charming smile at Marina.

"It hasn't even been a month yet... What floor do you live on?" Marina asked, her curiosity piqued.

"The sixth floor. And you?" The man replied, returning the question.

"The fifth floor. It seems like we're neighbours," Marina said, a smile forming on her lips.

As soon as the elevator reached the fifth floor, Marina swiftly stepped out, eager to continue her day.

"It's fine," the man assured her, leaving a message for Marina.

"Okay, thank you," Marina said gratefully, raising her hand in a gesture of appreciation. As the elevator doors closed, the man continued walking until he reached his own house.
